Exclusive 3 tracks EP by Mochi Men, remixing and exploring the deeper side of China Moses, one of nowadays hottest soul jazz vocalist and daughter of jazz superstar Dee Dee Bridgewater.

With early supports Danny Krivit, Joey Negro, Shuya Okino, Franck Roger, OPOLOPO, Kai Alce, Rahaan Rah, Dj Deep, DJ Mad Mats, Alex Finkin, Jojo Flores, MousseT., DJ Greg Gauthier, Mandel Turner, Patrick Vidal, Andy Compton…

In less than a year, the parisian duet have built themselves quite a solid reputation with their previous remixes of UK jazz funk sensation Resolution 88 (MR001), latin funk act Setenta (MR002) and legendary acid jazz outfit Brooklyn Funk Essentials (MR003).
Now being given an entire carte blanche by China Moses, our Mochi guys captured two original soul jazz grooves from her latest opus, "Nightintales", to bring them into new danceable territories.
"Breaking Point (Mochi Men remix)" has turned into a haunting upbeat jam, melting afro deep house influences with stunning vocals by Miss Moses and spiritual infatuated vibes, while the « Young Pulse Dub » version is irresistibly drifting toward a chamanical dance trip. In contrast comes "Disconnected (Mochi Men remix)", a pure and joyful 80's boogie funk flavored anthem, certified neck factor trigger !

We turned on to Emma Jean at Monterey Jazz Fest, and she's the reason I went from 'ehhh I'm not sure I like Acid Jazz and I sure as hell don't like fusion" to "what the hell is *this awesome galactic brilliance?!* A rare talent and a damn fine slab of wax that I have on heavy rotation. I love many tracks including 'Spectre', and i wonder to myself how much it owes to Kate Bush's spectral "Watching You Without Me." jaxers
